Flower Dog Collar Detachable Attachment

After the popularity of the Dog Bow Tie, I wanted to make something that was a little less formal but just as much fun!  Also, I know many of you don't use sewing machine; this project was completed using hand sewing only.  The flower attachment is detachable, so you can add it on and off your dogs existing collar any time you'd like.  It's perfect for any day you want to make your dog look more adorable than he or she already does.

This project is a great scrap buster if you have small amounts of fabric lying around that you want to use.

Detachable Dog Bow Tie

Despite his Harry Potter roots, Padfoot is quite the Southern gentleman.  He, therefore, requires a bow tie for those extra special occasions.  Padfoot will be graduating for Basic Obedience Class at end of the summer.  Obviously, he needs a bow tie to look good for the occasion.  The summer is also full of parties that I'm sure your dog wants to look special for!

I love patterns, prints, and color.  I also love spoiling my dog, Padfoot.  One way I spoil him is by making him collars for all our "special" occasions.  By wrapping fabric around the dog collar, the possibilities for adorable dog collars are endless.

In my previous post, I made a leash to go with Padfoot's every day collar.  They look great together.  Now, you can make a collar to go with the dog leash you made or a collar for an occasion!

Dog Leash: Sew Your Own

When we adopted this sweet baby a little more than 4 months ago, I knew this name was Padfoot. I mean, look at the similarities!

Padfoot needed a Gryffindor collar.  I search around online, and I was shocked with how limited by options were.  As a crafty person, I set out to make my own collar.  I purchased a yard of the All Things Harry Potter fabric from Spoonflower and made a dog collar.  My finished product turned out great!  If you want to make your own check out: Dog Collar: Fabric Wrapped

Over time, his plain store bought dog leash paled in comparison to his custom collar.  I set out to change that and made a Hogwarts dog leash.
